I suspect my neighbor is sabotaging my privacy fence. What kind of surveillance camera would you guys suggest. I want the camera to be inside the house and networked into my LAN so that I can save video straight to my hard drive. Need something to record night and day. And please, not too expensive.

You can only record at night with sufficient lighting, I have a Motion sensor light at each camera location and I use wireless cameras with motion sensors on them and that way they only record when their is activity. You can purchase inexpensive cameras from wal mart and they can be networked if you choose.}{

    The cheapest way out of this is to get a hunters camera. You attach it securely to a tree or post and when someone comes by it snaps either a video or picture. Although you cannot connect it directly to a hard drive, it is definitely the cheapest option.
    Radio shack also has wireless cameras and portable digital camera drives so you can record hours of video without having a computer around. Cost about $200.
    The hunters camera can be purchased at Dick’s sporting goods from $60-$200 depending on what features you want.
