what is the punishment for destroying CCTV cameras in the UK?

I haven’t done this and have no plans to, but i’m wondering how bad the punishment would be for destroying CCTV cameras?

Its a standard case of criminal damage. This is usually heard at Mags, unless is an amount over £5000, then it goes to crown.

Its hard to say what the punishment is. There are set standards, but each case is dealt with individually and the outcome is based on many factors pertinent to that case.

I think the police and courts would treat it as a serious crime linked to a conspiracy to commit other crimes, this might help

This would be looked at as Criminal Damage. Nothing else. If it was your first offence you would probably walk away from the police station (if you admit to it) with a caution! Nothing more, nothing less!!

This would mean no going to court and definately no prison sentence!!
