I've had nothing but great experiences with DoItYourselfSecuritySystems.com You can check out some Wireless Security Systems here http://doityourselfsecuritysystems.com/wireless-system-kits.html Everything they carry is top-notch Honeywell Ademco security equipment, but their prices are kept super low because you install the system yourself. They offer low-priced monitoring as well, and every purchase is backed by free telephone support. Check out their site, or give them a call at 1-866-587-0260. Hope you find what you're looking for!
References :
Here is a much better site that I found: http://www.safemart.com...lots of details, good pricing, and a variety of different options. I'd be careful about APX. If I remember correctly, they're the same as APEX, just re-branded... and their online reputation looks pretty bad.
References :
Hi Mike,

The old stand-by ADT ain't bad. I used them for a while, until I found a company called APX.

They're pricing is much better, and instead of using the telephone in an emergency to communicate with the monitoring service (although you can use a phone if you wish) it's got a neat 2-way speaker system built into the control keypad.

Before they call your phone line to check on you, they open the two-way communication on the control keypad and ask if everyhing is OK. If no response they notify all Emergency Services while still monitoring the 2-way communication system so they can hear what's going on in the house. Neat feature, I thought.
