View network security cameras in a specific area?

I know about the ability on google to view network cameras at random from around the world by connecting to their IP. But can you define what area cameras you want to view??? Like if I wanted to search for network cameras in my area how could I do that?

If your talking about CCTV cameras in the UK then the answer is no as it is an offence under the Data Protection Act 1998. CCTV is not open to public access.

All their stuff is either done by satellite or driving around in cars with cameras on top. And that last little exercise has caused enough rows in the last few days in the UK over the invasion of privacy.

The US and some other countries might think it’s wonderful and gung ho but we don’t want it here.
