Should councils install CCTV cameras in residential areas?

please state what country you are from and why or why not CCTV cameras should be installed in residential areas by local councils.

I’m from Canada and I say no. It wouldn’t be worth the high cost. I don’t think its right to have cameras constantly watching the areas where people live.

    Im in Utah County and i say NO
    Ther are not necassary to protect the neighborhoods and cost way to much

    Maybe… a large neighborhood could have cameras covering the entrances and maybe the park or playground if one exsisted in the neighborhood. Other than that I think they are unnecessary. Im in the US
