Is it illegal to post a Brinks/other home security sign in front of your house without using their services?

Can you post a Brinks or some other home security sign in front of your house without using their services? I don’t care if you think it will deter someone or not but whether it is legal or not. Would the company be able to control whether or not I am able to use their sign since it is on private property and I have no agreement one way or the other with them?

If at one time you had their service and were provided a sign it is not illegal to leave the sign up.

However it is illegal to purchase a counterfeit sign.

Yes, it is illegal, because it requires use of their trademarked logos and name, and directly deprives them of business (yours).

Now, it would be legal to post a sign for a fictitious company, as long as the name and appearance of the logos did not look close to any existing company.
