In Minnesota, is it legal to set up hidden security cameras in my own home?

I have renters some of which may be theives. I also live in this house and own it. Is it legal for me to put invisible unknown security cameras in common areas (not bathrooms or bedrooms) with the risk that it may pick up a conversation that I was not personally privy to?
