I want a cctv system to record video & audio using an IP cam without audio. How can I merge audio from a mic ?

The IP camera cannot record audio, so I need to merge audio from a separate mic and have a recording device combine the audio and video from the two sources into a single recording. Do I need an NVR, a hybrid NVR or a PC running specialist software like blueiris ?

It is a residential cctv setup. Any thoughts ?

Your best bet is to get an IP camera that does record audio. Trying to sync up audio from another source to a video can be a time intensive task that in the end you will be much better served just getting an IP camera that does record audio. You already have the NVR so why not add a little GV-CB120? It is a small camera that can record audio and can record video with 1.3 megapixels. I have linked to the model below.
