How to bypass the security system on my 96 Nissan maxima?

I just bought this car, the guy said that the key broke off in the ignition. So the alarm won’t stop going off. Well his bright idea was to tear the whole ignition out and to jump the starter. Well I want to install a push button start but don’t know how to bypass the security system that is still stopping the it from firing and letting the alarm shut off unless I take a screwdriver straight to the starter and a ground..

Did you get a title with that hot wired car?

The ignition switch can to go bad. The one on my 95 eventually got so I had to jiggle it to get it to crank, and when that got bad enough, I had the dealer replace it (which worked with same key). I don’t think it cost that much, but not sure what has been ripped out of yours.

u can consult a car modifier/repairer ,he can guide you for that, it would be the best to do,cause you don’t want to damage the car do you?

The whole point of a security system is to make it not easy to override without attracting attention or disabling the vehicle. So you should really get it fixed, so it requires a key to start it.

I had a 95 Maxima SE 5-spd from May 94 (almost 18 years) until I traded it for a new MazdaSpeed3 last night.
