How much space a harddisk/DVR consume to store one hour footage recorded by CCTV ?

pls give me some approx idea !

about 300 MB depending upon compression (encoding) Format. and what format is used for storing the data because now a days higher compression formats are available.
it is my thinking so it is my guess only… it may be less or more than that.
