How can set up my pc webcam as a surveillance camera, an use my Android to monitor it remotely?

I have a laptop PC with a built-in webcam. I want to use it as a surveillance camera while I’m away from home. But i also want to monitor the PC webcam remotely via 3G connection using my Android phone. I know law enforcement and federal agencies use the same technology. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

First, download and install Yawcam. It’s free, popular, and works great. The second parts can require some IT knowledge though and may be tricky if you’re not used to this type of stuff…

First, enable the streaming service in Yawcam. You can actually install a Windows service that automatically starts streaming when Windows starts. Make sure you can open and forward port 8081 on your router and forward it to your computer (which should have s local static IP address). Then, you will need to make up a domain name and point it to your ever-changing IP address. Use DYNdns either on your router on download the app on your computer. Make up a domain name and make sure it’s set to auto update. Once you’re all done, you should be able to get on your Android phone and go to "your.domain.name.com.:8081" and you will see your webcam from anywhere.
