Do universities in the UK have CCTV cameras installed in all the corridors of the buildings?

Or is it only in the entrances? This must have great financial impacts if they have it installed all over the buildings.
Generally I think all modern schools/colleges etc have cameras installed in the corridors (and maybe in the classrooms in some)

When planning to steal equipment from my local university, I looked in to this, and found that many of the buildings had security only on the outside, and the entrances to the buildings.

I recently visited 4 universities in the UK for admissions interviews, and they didn’t have CCTV cameras all over the corridors, just the main sections as you say, like the entrances. I mean, I wasn’t looking everywhere, but I didn’t notice any.

depends on the uni

Every university does things differently.
However usually I think people don’t like their privacy to be invaded. I don’t think any university will have ALL corridors monitored by CCTV. They probably just have the main corridors monitored like that.
I’d hate to have the corridors in my halls of residence to have CCTV everywhere and people spying on me lol
I do live there and all..

Yes. I’m sitting in the halls of residence right now and there are cameras all around the building, inside and out. Plus they have night time security staff for every building and you can only come in after 11pm if you have university ID and a key to the building.
