Is it fair to ask the council for security equipment in certain situations?

I’ve just had my car broken into, and it’s about the 10th criminal act that these scumbags have commited within the last 2 years, including smashing wing mirrors, breaking into gardens etc..

cctv wireless and dvr’s?

Does anyone know how you would connect a wireless cctv system to a dvr? I’m unsure how you could connect the receiver to the dvr.
Most wireless CCTV use RCA (Phono) connectors for composit video.
(if your remember the old VCR connecion yelow, white and red) – you want the yellow plug.
some CCTV systems use BNC connections [...]

What are CCTV cameras and what makes them different than normal security cameras?
Closed Circuit Television Meaning its locally hardwired and there are people monitoring it. Also CCTV systems are generally not viewable by the public.

Whats the best solution for home cctv system?

I want to install cctv recorded on to a dvr in the garage at foot of my garden. A bit of car vandalism going on you see.
What I would like but dont know if its possible is to just have cameras and dvr running and only take it indoors to view if theres a problem. [...]
