It was not a rental when it was puchased so it is not an expense. The continuous monitoring costs would be an expense.

These are wireless systems that DO NOT have central station monitoring unless you want it. The only problem with a dog is that even if you set motion sensors where Rover won’t trip them, he will find a way to do so. That will activate the siren or horn and your neighbors will love that. Maybe just get a system that protects the doors and windows with contacts and no motion sensors. Their prices start at $180

You will have to ask a dealer and prove the car is yours. Answering this kind of question in a public forum will only help car thieves.

I’m working on a presentation about the health system in Panama and there are a few things I still don’t quite understand about the public health system.

There are hospitals from Social Security and the Ministry of Health. Can you just go to each of these hospitals? And what happens when you are unemployed and not paying for the social security system? Can you still go to the social security hospitals then?

To make it short: Where is the difference in the services available if you seek medical care when you are paying for social security or when you are unemployed?

How the health system in panama does not work? As the average Panamanian would say, public health care is very poor, worse yet if you are not employed, less health care coverage than those with social security coverage.

I don’t know what is good. But, I know what is bad.
Bitdefender don’t honor their 3 users. They unprotected what they consider one license(only 1 user). If they can’t get their license to work right. I doubt their protection.
Norton does let some viruses walk through.
Kaspersky, try few years ago, it is like strict jacket. Ask you permission all the time. It is ok?

I recommend just get the free program the above two recommend. Don’t do anything important like banking or online shopping on computer.

Your 1999 Bonneville has a VATS key system. You need to get the VATS code off of your OLD key. (The one you used before you changed the steering column).

Then you need to cut that VATS using the key from the new steering column as a pattern.

This used to happen very rarely, but lately it’s becoming a common occurrence. Does anyone know how to disable this passive security system?

It’s that infamous “chip” in the key that becomes a nightmare to many. The security light may or may not start flashing. Sometimes it stays on steady. Gradually the car begins not cranking anymore or if it cranks it will start and die in a second. They have been known to shut down cars while driving and create dangerous situations. Randomly it will do this more and more often until it won’t start anymore. VATS, PASSkey and Passlock immobilizer systems are killing cars all over North America, they have a short lifespan and are certainly more effective against owners than thieves. Here is how you save your car

QUICK FIX TRICKS

1st trick, Try a spare key that is newer or used less. The pins wear down with use and so do the keys causing the security to fail.

2nd trick, (if not starting) turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start. I did this in my regal for more than a year. If its shutting down while running, I’m sorry I have no quick fix…

There are 3 parts in this system.

1.The chipkey (Black resister chip in key)

2.The lock cylinder (Pins that read the chip in the key)

3.The TDM (Theft Deterrant Module-Sometimes called the "computer" or "brain") This allows your car to start or continue running depending on your type of system.

If any of these parts fail or are not quite funtioning properly in the slightest way, (also can be effected by heat,cold,rain,fog,ect) your car will not start, start for a few seconds, or die while driving. These systems can shut down fuel pumps, starters, and injectors to "protect" your car from theft. So many people, mechanics, and dealers will change everything before "finding" the problem. There are partial "fixes" out there, you can bypass the key and the lock cylinder in the stearing column which means ripping apart your car for a temporary fix. If you are going to do the work yourself, i suggest pulling the whole "computer" (TDM) out completely.
