hi, i am going to Portugal(faro) from London(stansted) by Rian air. can i carry a cctv DVR, 4 cctv cameras, power supply and some wire ? I will have a hand bag and a luggage for booking. thanks

Dvr cctv camera downloading to pc problem…?

i have a CK-DVR-4920 but i cannot download the file to my pc…

i tried to get the 260gb hardisk and put it directly to the primary slave of my PC, but it was not detected.

i tried also to use the USB port, and connect it to my PC… My PC recognizes a USB Mass Storage and says it is readu to use. but i cannot find it in "My Computer"

i tried to use the software but the software doesn’t recognize it neither

i used another software and it is recognize at IDE 0 -Usb Mass Storage, but that software doesn’t support my dvr.

how can i get the videos i need?

Rightclick on the My Computer icon ? Manage ? Disk Management, it should be in there. You may need to change the drive letter for it.

Set the BIOS, to detect the hard drive. If the BIOS cannot see it, then the OS can’t.

Also, a HD in an external case, must be set as "Master".

For 16 cameras to record high definition (HD) for 15 days non-stop (24h) is not very practical for home – unless you are a company and can afford a CCTV system with multiple harddrives.
For budget CCTV, you need to use some other ways to record:
If you use motion detection, once there is a movement, it starts to record, then it would be better.
Or buy one with a secluded recording system, every few seconds it takes one picture and save it to a harddrive.
Once you are sure about function, go to ebay, the same function are normally at the same price range.

Frames per Second on a CCTV DVR?

I ordered a CCTV surveillance system with 4 cameras and the DVR it all records on has a record rate of 30fsp (quad) and 7.5fsp (each). Can someone explain what the quad and each stand for and if the recordings will be choppy? The display frame rate is 120fsp.

CCTV images will always look pretty good on the monitor in real time.

When you play the images back from the DVR if you are using one camera at 30 fps the image will look pretty good even if you play it slow. If you use all 4 cameras at 7.5 fps (30 / 4 = 7.5) when you play it back the image will be choppy but what you do is pause it and look at each image one at a time. For normal CCTV purposes this system will work fine. If you are looking for really nice resolution and a great picture, don’t use a CCTV system.
