she wants to just have it hooked up to her pc and nobody Else’s. can she get away with his?i figure homeland security. The board never even voted on the cameras.

If they are in public places there is nothing wrong with it. Who paid for the cameras and hookups. Read the bylaws to see if a vote on it would be required, probably not. Why would you be concerned? I can hang a few cameras around my yard pointed a public locations (Not someones Bedroom window) and connect it to my PC only. If it is for security to see who comes and goes in the area and then identify them later if needed for criminal action. There is no reason for everyone in town to have a connection to it. I doubt that it is "Her" computer but rather is an association Computer with limited access.

In the Town were I ive we have surveillance cameras but they are hooked up to live cable TV feeds so anyone can watch or record them. Keeps the crime rate low here.

If you are concerned, aren’t you a member of this association?

It sounds a bit weird that security cameras feed to a private PC.

I suggest you read The Association, by Bentley Little :)
