I want to buy a 24 ir 420 tv lines security camera but I need to know what kind of dvr I can run it on and if I buy a tivo, directtv, or dish network dvr will I need to purchase one of their satellite plans to use it?

You would need excessive hacking, so it would just be easier to use a standalone DVR

Hi, I cannot answer for sure about Direct or TiVo DVR’s. I can tell you that even with a DISH Network set-up working you would not be able to use it to record from the security cameras.
