Wireless CCTV camera system that transmits video for around 6km?

Hello,
I own a plot of land with stables for my horses, and I am looking for a CCTV camera system which can transmit live video (no sound needed) over at least 5.5km (3.4 miles) to my home without the use of the Internet as I don’t have a telephone line at my stables. Could anyone suggest a way of doing this so I can monitor my mares who are about to have foals soon?

To be able to transmit video signals over that sort of distance you would need a Microwave Transmitter & Receiver. The receiver is then linked to a monitor or whatever you wish to record/see the image on. The signal over that distance must be line of sight from transmitter to receiver. The only governing problem would be that the transmitter is licence free and won’t interfere with any other type of signal.
There are a number of dealers/retailers that can help with your project.

My neighbor is putting up a surveillance camera and since both of our apartments are in the corner, it is aimed directly on my yard. My younger sister loves to go outside and now I feel someones watching her and some of the other neighbor’s kids. My apartment complex has a lot of restrictions, too. This apartment complex isn’t very ‘wealthy’ and they can only afford one surveillance camera, so I know they didn’t ask him to put it up. I was just wondering is it legal for him to put up the surveillance camera aiming at my yard?

Yes it is legal in the common areas of an apartment complex for obvious security purposes to reduce criminal acts. It is only illegal inside an apartment, which is the private domain of a tenant.

How to sneak out of the house past security cameras?

My dad recently installed security cameras around our house, and now it’s about impossible to sneak out. He doesn’t watch the camera videos very often, but I’m scared to try to sneak out because if he DOES watch the video then he’ll see me! I don’t wanna take a chance sneaking out. (At night)

Any ideas on how to sneak past them or turn off the cameras for a few hours?
Also…. any idea how to turn off the cameras?

I’ve done this before and there is no easy way. DO NOT try to turn off the cameras and then back on because he will see that a stretch of time footage is missing (while the cameras were off).

HOWEVER, it is possible: during the day, go to where the camera monitor screens are located in the house and analyze very very closely what their view range is. When you’ve accomplished this, you’ll then know where you should not step into view of them. Of course, for all you know, they may not even have inferred sensors. (so they can’t see in the dark anyway). You can test their night vision by looking at the monitors at night.

I would like to put surveillance cameras around my rock quarry. I’ve had a few kids jumping off the rocks this past summer and would like to keep the rocks off limits. I would like to know if I could get a few wireless cameras (sound is not needed) that could broadcast a live feed showing me what is happening. Any suggestions?
