Are they supposed to inform you if camera surveillance is present in a public place?

Was wondering if there is a law that states that there has to be signs posted informing you if a public place is under camera surveillance and even recording, esp. if the cameras are concealed.
I would just assume you are always being taped in a public place. They cannot put them in dressing rooms or toilet stalls where you are to have privacy. Anyone can take your pic in public, look at the celebrities that are photographed every time they go out in public
