Let me start off by saying I work for an alarm comapny, i’m in the monitoring station.
1. We do not know what the 4 digit code is to disarm a system, that is something the customer makes up.
2. If the power goes out, there are many large generators that supply back up power to run the systems.
but small security companies only have ONE monitoring location. ADT has five in the u.s. what if the power goes out in your hometown monitoring office huh???
A.D.T (all done trying) sucks balls
ADT used to be the best alarm company.
They sold their soul to the dealer program. Which means every tom, dick and harry can install an ADT alarm system. They lowered their standards for the all mighty dollar.
Local Alarm companies are thrivind becaue ADT quality has gone down hill.

ADT is a great company, however companies like this are horrible. They are dealers and they do a horrible job on installations, sell old and cheap systems, and lie to many customers.
I dont know what are you talking about, ADT is the best company of alarm systems. No other company offers you good service as they do and most of ohter companies have 3 years contract, if its less.. the system will cost you doble the price that ADT offers.
ADT used to be a very good company to deal with.

Go with a smaller security company in your home town.
They breeched the contract through non performance of my system and inability to fix it. I couldn’t afford a lawyer to back me up and they just ignored me. I’m now with a cheaper, local company that will let me out of my contract for any reason any time. ADT can suck my you know what
You would only be trapped into the contract if you didn’t read the terms and conditions. Buyer beware, but the sales rep should have told you what you were signing for anyway. Do you not have consumer protection with a least a year’s warranty on the hardware in your country?
Avoid ADT at all costs! They have me trapped in a contract for 3 years, they won’t fix my alarm so its usless and I’m paying for service i’m not getting. There are multiple class action law suits against them. Any security company is better than them, avoid avoid avoid!
