95 Cherokee Grand How can I permantly dis-arm the security system?

95 Cherokee Grand – The security system arlarms randomly. If I park and get out, the arlarm system engages and the lights flash and don’t quit. It runs the battery down.
I need to dis-connect the security system permantly.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Usually you can pull the fuse out, but if the security system is part of the body control module theres nothing you can do as the body control module controls lighting, security, door locks, etc. You might have the dealer reprogram the module to disable the security system part of the body control module too. Usually 1 hour labor charge.

  1. Robin B says:

There should be a fuse somewhere in the system between the live connection and the alarm unit. Find it and just remove it. There should be a fuse dedicated to the alarm system.
The system will be permanently disabled until you replace the fuse.
